Waiver Policy

At Journal by VISWAM PUBLICATIONS, we are committed to promoting accessibility and inclusivity in scientific publishing. As part of our mission to support the dissemination of high-quality research, we offer a waiver policy for authors who may face financial barriers in paying for Article Processing Charges (APCs) associated with open access publication.

1. Eligibility for Waivers

Authors from low-income or developing countries: Authors based in countries classified by the World Bank as low-income or lower-middle-income countries may be eligible for a full or partial waiver of the APC. This includes countries where authors may face financial challenges in covering publication fees.

Special circumstances: Waivers may also be granted in cases of personal or institutional hardship, such as for early-career researchers, independent researchers, or authors from institutions without the financial resources to support APCs.

2. How to Request a Waiver

  • Authors who wish to apply for a waiver should indicate their request during the submission process by completing the waiver request form provided in the submission guidelines or by contacting the editorial office directly at VISWAM PUBLICATIONS.
  • A brief explanation of the reason for the waiver request must be provided, along with any supporting documentation (such as a letter from the author’s institution or funding body).

3. Approval Process

  • Waiver requests will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis by the editorial team. While we cannot guarantee approval of all requests, we strive to ensure that authors facing financial difficulties can still have their work published.
  • Authors will be notified of the outcome of their waiver request prior to formal acceptance of their manuscript.

4. Partial Waivers

  • In cases where a full waiver is not granted, authors may be offered a partial reduction in APCs, depending on the specific circumstances and the available resources.

5. Funding for Waivers

  • Journal by VISWAM PUBLICATIONS offers waivers as part of our commitment to open access, and we strive to maintain a balanced, sustainable publishing model. However, the availability of waivers may be subject to funding availability and journal resources.

6. Other Considerations

  • Authors granted a waiver are still required to comply with all other submission and publishing requirements of Journal by VISWAM PUBLICATIONS.
  • The waiver policy is subject to review and may be amended in the future based on changes in funding or operational conditions.
