Aim:
The Biochemistry and Biological Nexus Journal aims to advance the understanding of the molecular and biochemical foundations of living organisms by publishing high-quality, peer-reviewed research at the intersection of biochemistry and biology. The journal seeks to foster interdisciplinary collaboration among scientists from diverse fields, including molecular biology, enzymology, cellular biochemistry, genomics, and systems biology, to uncover the mechanisms underlying cellular function, health, disease, and evolution.
Scope:
The journal welcomes original research articles, reviews, short communications, and perspectives that explore the relationships between biochemistry and biological systems. Areas of interest include, but are not limited to:
Molecular and Cellular Biochemistry: Mechanisms of enzymatic reactions, protein folding and dynamics, molecular signaling, and metabolic networks.
Genomics and Proteomics: Gene expression regulation, transcriptomics, proteomics, and post-translational modifications.
Structural Biology: Determination of bimolecular structures and their relationship to function, including computational and experimental methods.
Systems Biology: Integration of biochemical data into models of cellular networks and pathways, understanding of cellular and organismal responses to environmental and genetic changes.
Biochemistry in Health and Disease: Role of biochemistry in understanding diseases, drug design, biomarkers, and therapeutic strategies.
Biochemistry and Evolution: Evolutionary insights into biochemical processes, molecular evolution, and adaptive biochemical pathways.
Research that bridges laboratory findings with clinical applications or provides new insights into basic biological processes will be especially encouraged. The journal seeks to promote studies that contribute to both fundamental knowledge and applied biochemistry, with a particular emphasis on work that has the potential to impact public health, biotechnology, and other areas of biological innovation.
By providing a platform for cutting-edge research, the Biochemistry and Biological Nexus Journal aims to be a leading resource for scientists, educators, and clinicians engaged in biochemistry and related fields.
