This Open Access Policy outlines how we make research available to the public and the principles guiding our open access approach.
1. Open Access Model
Journal by VISWAM PUBLICATIONS adheres to the Gold Open Access model. This means that:
- All articles published in Journal by VISWAM PUBLICATIONS are immediately and permanently available to all users, free of charge, upon publication. There are no paywalls or subscription fees for readers.
- The content is freely accessible, downloadable, and can be shared, reused, and adapted, as long as proper attribution is provided to the original author(s), and any reuse complies with the license terms. All articles accepted for publication are charged a fee of INR 2000 for researchers in India and USD 50 for those who are outside India. The Corresponding author’s affiliation will be considered for billing the article processing charges.
2. Licensing
Articles published in Journal by VISWAM PUBLICATIONS are made available under a Creative Commons license. Authors can choose from the following license options:
- CC BY 4.0 (Attribution): Allows others to copy, distribute, remix, adapt, and build upon the work, even for commercial purposes, as long as the original author(s) are credited.
- CC BY-NC-ND 4.0 (Attribution-Non-commercial-Non-Derivative): Allows others to copy, distribute, remix, and adapt the work for non-commercial purposes only, with proper attribution to the original authors.
This ensures that the work remains open and accessible, while also allowing for proper recognition of the authors’ intellectual property.
3. Peer Review Process
All articles submitted to Journal by VISWAM PUBLICATIONS undergo a rigorous, double-blind peer review process to ensure the integrity, quality, and academic rigor of published research. Our commitment to open access does not affect the thoroughness of our review process. Every article is evaluated based on its scientific merit, originality, and relevance to the field.
4. Article Processing Charges (APCs)
Journal by VISWAM PUBLICATIONS chargesArticle Processing Charges (APCs) for publication. The fees levied are used for website maintenance and for typesetting & production costs. We believe that the ability to publish should not be constrained by an author’s financial resources and hence, we charge a nominal fee of INR 2,000 for Indian researchers and USD 50.0 for the submitting/Corresponding authors outside India. Our journal strives to eliminate barriers to entry for all researchers, regardless of institutional or geographic background.
Should any fees apply in the future (for example, for extra services or enhanced visibility), these will be clearly communicated to authors in advance, with the goal of maintaining transparency. 5. Archiving and Self-Archiving
Authors are encouraged to deposit a preprint version of their article in an appropriate open-access repository prior to submission to JOURNAL by VISWAM PUBLICATIONS, and they may also self-archive a copy of the final published article (post-peer review, pre-print version) in their institutional or subject-specific repositories. Some of the well-known pre-print portals are: arXiv, ChemRxiv, bioRxiv, medRxiv, SSRN, Research Square, OSF Preprints etc.
The final published version of the article (the version with the journal’s official layout and formatting) will be hosted on the Journal by VISWAM PUBLICATIONS website. This ensures that all versions of the article are freely accessible and available for long-term preservation.
6. Repository and Indexing
All articles published in Journal by VISWAM PUBLICATIONS are archived and indexed in multiple reputable databases and repositories to ensure broad visibility, including:

This indexing ensures that our articles are easily discoverable by researchers, scholars, and the public, contributing to the global exchange of knowledge.
7. Open Data and Supplementary Materials
We encourage authors to make data, software, and other supplementary materials related to their research publicly available. Authors are welcome to deposit data in public repositories, and links to these datasets can be included in the published article. We support and encourage the open data movement, as it enhances the reproducibility and transparency of scientific research. For example, authors can make original SDS-PAGE and western blotting images and raw data available under the open data category.
However, we understand that in some cases, data may be subject to privacy, security, or ethical considerations. In such instances, authors should provide an explanation for why sharing the data is not possible, or consider alternative means for making the data accessible (e.g., via anonymization or data sharing agreements).
8. Ethical Considerations
We adhere to the highest ethical standards in open access publishing. Authors must ensure that their work is original, appropriately cited, and free from plagiarism. All research involving human or animal subjects must comply with ethical guidelines, and authors must obtain relevant approvals before submission. Those certificates will be scrutinized and verified so that the journal’s ethical standards are maintained.
We also respect the rights of authorship, with clear guidelines on authorship and acknowledgments. Journal by VISWAM PUBLICATIONS follows established guidelines for authorship and contributor roles (such as those outlined by the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors [ICMJE] or other relevant standards for multidisciplinary disciplines). 9. Impact and Transparency
We are committed to ensuring that the impact of open access publishing is maximized. By publishing open access, we aim to increase the visibility, citation, and reach of scholarly work, contributing to the broader academic and societal impact of research.
Journal by VISWAM PUBLICATIONS is also committed to transparency in its operations. We will make available information regarding editorial policies, peer review processes, and any conflicts of interest related to editorial decision-making. The Editorial Board will scrutinize the submissions and the best article in every issue will be given cover page credits. We do not provide certificates of publication to our authors.
10. Compliance with Open Access Initiatives
We support and comply with global open access initiatives, such as the Berlin Declaration on Open Access to Knowledge in the Sciences and Humanities, the Budapest Open Access Initiative, and the Plan S initiative for open-access publishing, which aims to make publicly funded research openly accessible.
