At JOURNAL by VISWAM PUBLICATIONS, we are committed to maintaining the highest standards of academic integrity and scientific rigor. In the event that errors are identified in a published article, or if a serious issue arises that undermines the validity or integrity of the research, we will take appropriate steps to correct or retract the article, as outlined below.
1. Corrections
Minor errors: If a published article contains minor errors (such as typographical or formatting mistakes) that do not affect the conclusions or scientific validity of the research, these will be corrected in a published erratum or corrigendum. The correction will be clearly indicated in the online version of the article, and the original article will remain available with a link to the correction.
Procedure for requesting a correction: Authors, readers, or reviewers who identify errors in a published article should contact the editorial office at VISWAM PUBLICATIONS. The editorial team will assess the nature of the error and decide on the appropriate course of action.
2. Retractions
Serious Issues: A retraction will be considered if a published article contains significant errors or issues that cannot be corrected through a simple amendment, such as:
- Fabrication or falsification of data
- Plagiarism or duplicate publication
- Ethical violations, such as failure to obtain proper ethical approval or informed consent
- Serious problems with authorship, such as undisclosed conflicts of interest
Procedure for retraction: If a retraction is necessary, the editorial team will work with the authors to clarify the reasons for the retraction. A formal retraction notice will be issued, clearly stating the reason for the retraction, and the article will remain in the journal’s archive with a retraction statement prominently displayed.
Authorship disputes: In cases of disputed authorship or conflicts related to the conduct of research, the editorial board will conduct a thorough investigation. If necessary, the article may be retracted and replaced with a statement explaining the outcome.
If reports of malpractice, plagiarism or self-plagiarism are brought to the notice of the journal, Biochemical and Biological Nexus reserves the right to retract papers with copyright infringement or malpractice. Our reviewers will carefully check whether data submitted to the journal is fraudulent or fabricated during the first round of reviews. Authors will sign an agreement that all data submitted to the journal are original. If any reports from readers or the public question the validity and veracity of data published in this journal, the Editors will evaluate the paper for fraud and a retraction notice will be published.
3. Handling Retractions
Transparency: All corrections and retractions will be clearly communicated to readers. The journal will ensure that the retraction notice is linked to the original article and is clearly visible in the article’s online record.
Permanent record: The retracted article will remain accessible in the journal’s archives, but it will be clearly marked as retracted. A link to the retraction notice will be provided in place of the original article to ensure full transparency.
4. Post-Publication Discussion
Encouraging open dialogue: We encourage readers and authors to discuss any concerns regarding published work. If concerns arise regarding an article’s validity or accuracy, the editorial team will engage with the authors and readers to resolve issues in a timely and transparent manner.
